Hydrogen is extremely flammable, but I recently saw a show on the history channel about hydrogen cars (makes you wonder why its on that channel). before you start pumping the gas it actually locks onto the nozzle that goes onto your tank so you cant spill. Although, I haven't the slightest idea how one can keep it from leaking in the case of an accident.

If they did that then eventually those cars would be useless because all the air pollution would disappear.

I think the safest and cheapest alternative fuel would be Ramen noodles. At 15 cents a pack it would have to be very cheap to travel. Plus you could have a variety of exhaust scents to chose from, Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Chicken Caliente, ect
