Hunters live for that shit. The rarer and more exotic the better as far as they are concerned. This is why tons of people lust after buffalo tags and want to take hunting trips to foreign countries.

So she shot a rare deer. Good Lord, you people act like she's a monster. You know, I've never agreed with hunting in itself; it isn't a sport, it doesn't strike me as challenging, and unless you eat it and make clothes out of it I think it's a waste. Hanging a head on your wall's pretty gaudy anyway. So I don't agree with it, but as the killing of deer doesn't really impact me or the ecosystem in any way, shape, or form, I ain't bitching about it.

But you guys, so what, the deer was rare? Oh, heavens, a deer we would've never known about had it not been shot and featured on the news, a deer we wouldn't have even CARED about and WON'T care about ten minutes from now, let's all get angry and vilify this horrible, horrible bitch.

It's a ****ed up attitude to kill something because it's rare, as a trophy. I don't actually give a damn about the deer or the woman, just the fact that she uses that reasoning and appears to be proud of it. I think that's bad and wrong and I will vilify the snot out of her for it and remain completely secure in that vilification and my own feelings about the subject.

that can be said about you or anybody here. What do you contribute that affects us in any way? is that the only measure of life's worth? if so we can probably depopulate the majority of humanity

and? should we refrain from stating our opinion? she's a dumb ass who's not worth the skin she's in ..so if she's hit by a bus today, tommorrow or the next day it wont affect us or the ecosystem in any way shape or form ..it may save a handful of deer, so the bus may even be performing a service
 
Hunting in itself doesn't serve any real purpose, as I said, unless you're actually going to eat and make goods from your kill. So the whole thing is needless regardless of whether or not the animal was rare or not. Technically you should be getting up in arms about hunting in general if you're going to feel that way about this woman.

And being someone who understands the thrill of finding and obtaining rare items, I can, on some level, understand this woman. You think it's "wrong" because it follows a different moral compass than you, and that in some way your reasoning is better than hers. I can assure you, as a hunter, she's not thinking of it in the same way you do.

What about things you do that other people don't like? Should they get raged at things you do and condemn you? You probably wouldn't like it much either. The fact that you're in some way trying to feel superior to this woman because you find her actions morally outrageous is foolish and in no way affects the outcome: the deer is dead, the woman has her trophy.

Wow. So you're saying she should be hit by a bus because she killed a deer. You know absolutely nothing about this woman other than she hunts, and you're suddenly qualified to make a judgement call on whether or not she deserves to live or die? Remember that story about the 6-legged deer that some guys saw? They shot it, took a picture of it, and ate it.

I also remember a story of some fishermen who found a strange alien-like sea creature that nobody knew what it was. They also ate it.

All the southern states are nuts about guns. Even California. Though in California the gun nuts shoot other people... especially during the daily freeway herd migrations.

Why do hunters think killing an animal that has no chance to fight back from hundreds of feet away is a brave and exciting thing to do?? Give the ****ing deer a rifle and several years training and maybe i would consider it a fair fight. Better still take the rifle away from the bitch and have her fight a Kodiak Bear in a weaponless one on one fight!

Fact of the matter is, is that hunting unless it's for the purposes of feeding and clothing yourself, or to cull a major overpopulation of a species is an abhorrent and unforgivable act.
