Wong Takes on Dragon Ball Z

There couldn't be many other directors who could've done it. I've seen "The One" with Jet Li and it's your basic action movie, except it had a nice twist on bullet-time as it's main special effect. It looked pretty cool, so I'm sure he'll handle DBZ well.

I wonder if fast timing would work (since thats kinda what would happen with 2 fast guys fighting in real time). The One was an awesome movie.
 
Is it me, or is them calling it Dragon Ball Z incorrect. This is before Gohan dies, Goku is 18, and it's before Vegeta...more like "Dragon Ball Y"... I don't know, I was hoping for some Vegeta ass kicking, and some Super Sayans.

I can't view him as a good "fighting" martial artist anymore after watching boatloads of Pride and UFC
 
Dragon Ball Z does cool brooding.


I love that one where Goku is holding back a gigantic ball of ANIME energy from obliterating the planet. Those close ups of his painful face with that anime grimace is perfection.
 
They should've gotten Stephen Chow to direct. That would've been great.

The narrator of Dragon Ball Z is a gigantic douche in real life. My friends and I heckle the shit out of him every time we see him. He gets so pissed off about it, it's hilarious. There's this vein that pops out near his temple, and he's bald so it's really noticeable. He deserves it though. Anyway he's not going to be in the movie unless they pay him a hojillion dollars, because apparently he's "too good" to do anything Dragon Ball related, even saying a few lines, without being paid like $5,000 per line. I shit you not. He was Gohan too, and he won't even say "kamehameha" or "masenko," not even masenko, unless you pay him.
 
Hah, I never noticed Jason Statham was in the One. Might have to watch it again sometime, remember enjoying it (except for the Li-Li fight, which was just kind of weird).

Yeah. You compare it to some of the other voice actors on the show, especially the .jp voice actors...they'll do lines for fans for free, because those're their fans. Some of those guys will even hang out with you and just shoot the shit.
 
why not make a DBZ movie? I can guarantee you that it'll be 10000000x better than like Hellboy or Ghost Rider...like come on, DBZ is the definition of EPIC BATTLES. If done right, the battles will be much more entertaining to watch than the ones in Transformers.

Seriously, with the technology we have today, it won't be hard to make realistic/epic looking effects. Only problem is going to be with the hair...anyone with DBZ hair in real life will look so lame lol
 
I've taken dumps that were more epic than Ghost Rider, so right there, that's not a very hard bar to top.

I don't care who Vegeta is played by, as long as it's Christopher Sabat doing the voice over, i'll be happy and the movie will be awesome.
