Won't run

[DESSTROYER]

After last patch TF2 doesn't seem to be launching, as soon as I launch the program, it gives me the generic windows "hl2.exe has stopped working" crap.


I launched other programs and they work perfectly fine, except for TF2.

report it to them on their site. I had a problem with it crashing and they pointed me to an update I didn't have for Vista (SP1 component, SP1 doesn't go well with me but I was able to install the necessary part stand alone).

I had to reinstall it twice to get mine to work
but it worked

I installed SP1 and it didn't work, i also reinstalled it off steam twice, still don't work.

I can't even get Steam to connect after the patch. ARGH!!!!!!!

Like I said, I installed a component of SP1 from the email reply they gave me.
I don't know what effect the whole thing would have, it broke another program of mine so I'm not going to bother finding out.
