I got into airsofting again, now that I'm older. Anyone know any cool places in Southern California? Also, Tell about YOUR airsofting shenanigans.

I joined a team and fired some guns.

AEG > Gas powered
Whats your favorite weapon there Ace?

never played airsoft...
but i have alot of real guns! :D
and a couple paintball guns

I sold all my airsoft guns except for one Gas pistol. Its niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

I just bought an AEG P90. I wanted to get a FAMAS, but it's too expensive for my budget at the time. AEG's are better than gas when you want to shoot other people. :p

I've got a couple of AEGs - TM M16 and MP5, and a gas USP .45. My physical condition kinda prevents me from playing, but I've done so in the past and it's a lot of fun. Beats the crap out of paintball. Except for the smug, arrogant, elitist wankers that are generally into airsoft, anyway.

I've got:

JG Bar-10 (Tokyo Marui VSR-10 Clone)
UTG M3 (Tokyo Marui M3 Clone)
Galaxy MP5 PDW (Tokyo Marui MP5 PDW Clone)
TM M1911A1 GBB (An actual Tokyo Marui!)

Love all my guns.

When me and my mates go camping every few months we bring airsoft guns and have a bit of a game, all I've got is some AK AEG I bought at a sporting goods store, works well enough

Love airsoft, wish I could do it more, but until a site opens up in reasonable distance for me I wont be partaking too often, like not at all, and current UK laws are mean, I want to get the gear for aisofting, which would get me airsofting more, but I cant until I am a registered member of an airsoft site, which requires me to spend money going down south using renta-crap and yeah, bah.

But Airsoft FTW.

You might try ordering guns from Hong Kong - they're a good deal cheaper even including the cost of air freight, and the box probably won't even get opened before it gets to you.

Don't know how they deal with imports mind, I bought mine when they were still discussing that moronic law.

I knew a guy who got shot in the eye by a paintball or a pellet and he went blind. His eye's all cataracted and blue.

We were playing assault the bunker a few months back, and while I was resting my civ model AUG up against the brim of the bunker, using it as a support weapon, and ducking behind the bunker from fire, the cheap plastic ironsights that came with the gun got shot off. Now my broke ass needs to find a reflex scope that I can afford :/

I remember we were playing 2 v 2 v 2 v 2 v 2 a while back (try it out, it's DAMNED fun). My team-mate and I were crouched in the forest up on a hill, overlooking a trail that runs through the field, when we heard footsteps coming from our right. I had my squaddy sit and watch the trail while I went to go check it out.

I ended up in a little clearing in the forest that was FULL of waist high ferns. I could hear voices and footsteps getting closer, so I ducked into the ferns and waited. Saw two guys from the other team walking through the clearing, stepping mere feet infront of me, and opened up on their asses.

That was a pretty satisfying moment for me :D

I also remember laying on the ground just as the sun was going down, crawling infront of a ditch that the opposite team was camping out. I was one of the only people with full camo back then, so I just hit the ground with my M11 and crawled right across the clearing infront of the ditch. That + the lack of sunlight, and the bastards didn't see me. Ended up running into a team mate when I crawled into a rivine that connected with the ditch, and sent him to go to the junction between the rivine and the ditch, while I climbed out of the rivine, ran right up to the ditch, and cleared the whole damned thing. Lit all the bastards up, one of them started crying and screaming at me, then started opening up on me with his little 45, so I set my M11 back to full auto and just shot a few bursts into his chest to shut him up. He started crying and screaming that I was an asshole.

Another satisfying moment.

TM = win. I got my stock TM AUG right around the same time all my buds went out and bought JGs. One of the JG M16s has given out at least 3 times, each time requiring mechbox work, the hop-up just went to hell the last time we played, so it's like trying to shoot up a slide, and the foregrip on the thing took a fat dent when it got shot by another JG. The barrel on one of the M4s took a nice fat and clean bend into it when the guy tripped and dropped the thing barrel first into the dirt. When we took the barrel out, my bud tried to roll it across the floor, and it wouldn't budge, the bend was just too large :p. A JG MP5K we play with came with a frozen hi-cap mag, and jams all the time. A JG M14 we used to play with just refused to stay together, the screws holding the body together just refused to stay put.

Only problem i've had with my AUG so far has been the outer barrel and the mechbox being out of alignment, both easy fixes. Thing came off when my dumbass friend turned his obnoxious sub-woofer on while all of our guns were sitting in his trunk. The vibrations pushed the barrel's set screw right out, and the gun hit the ground when I tried to pick it up by the barrel. Couple a turns of electrical tape and some pressure, and the thing is frozen in place now :p As for the mechbox, same deal. I just took the gearbox plate out, put some electrical tape on it, pushed it back in, and she's been good to go ever since.

TM FTW!

TM = Tokyo Mauri ? . im thinking of getting into airsoft but i hear its illegal in canada :( .

It's illegal in Singapore. Sorry, Aznah.
My P90 should be coming today, soon. It sucks, but right now I mostly care about the aesthetics. Once I get more money, I'll get a better one.

Anybody near Panther Paintball in Surrey, BC up for some paintballing this summer?
EDIT:
TM = Tokyo Mauri ? . im thinking of getting into airsoft but i hear its illegal in canada :( .

I know alot of airsofters here, it's surely not illegal, at least in BC.

Gimme paintball over this plastic toys crap any day.

You can get full-on metal replicas based on the actual mold.

I'll take airsofting with my favorite guns over some weird stick of iron with a trigger any day.

A&K Minimi (M249) Mk.1
VFC AKS-74N
TM M733 Commando
TM P90TR

My pride and joy is below. I don't have a pic yet so I just found a pic online. It is a HK USC registered as a short barreled rifle using an ATF form 1 and then converted to UMP configuration. Any rifle with less than a 16" barrel like this and my SBR ar15 in the first photo is restricted and can only be legally owned through registration, rigid background checks and buying a $200 tax stamp. The same process is used to buy transferable machine guns, sound suppressors, short barrel shotguns ("sawed off") etc, but only if you live in a state that allows class III weapon ownership.

Not if he plays mil sim.
Otherwise, yes.

I think some states require it, but not all. I don't know about other countries.

Guys I was being a smart ass. I thought the nitro-cellulose powered comment would give it away.

Here is some of the "toy" ammunition that I made.

I am very low on actual loaded ammo in many calibers because I am so busy with school. I need to get done with this batch of .45 I am loading on my Dillon xl 650:

IMG_3192.jpg

I really need to start loading my .308 brass up. I have about twice that amount but I need to tumble the rest clean. I have all the powder, primers, and bullets but no time:(.

IMG_3191.jpg

You make bullets. Hm.

No I reload cartridges. I buy the bullets and load them along with powder and primers into previously used brass cases. It is called "reloading" and is common among people who are really into shooting. The brass case is the most expensive part and it can be used many many times. The only bullets I "make" are the slugs I cast for my saiga 12 shotgun with my lead smelting pot.

I read SIG's post and all I saw was "Lol gun nut".

I kid, thats a cool little set up of gun related things you have there, if you had that i the UK though and you weren't in the employ of her majesties services, then you'd probably end up behind bars for a long long time. :)

Well, its just great to know our laws allow someone to have a veritable arsenal in their own homes!

Let the word go fourth that it did indeed happen:

Sorry for the moblie pic.

I used to play with my friends, but I quit after I hit someone in the face with the butt of my rifle (K2 with motor + spring modifications). I was going into this shack and and he suddenly came out the door.

I hit him, without thinking, right in the nose and he started to bleed quite badly and cried. (He had goggles, no mask) It really was a semi-accident, but I can't explain how it happened. I simply didn't think. The game was called off, with my many many apologies. I felt bad about it to the extent that I returned to staying inside and studying.

This was like 2 months ago? I forget. My middle exams were just over then, iirc.

Worst part: He was on my team. :(

He cried?
Pff. pussy.

Wait, how hard did you hit him?
