Words cannot describe this, just watch the video

Speed run? How can that be classified as a speed run? That guy is moving slower than ****ing molasses.

I think it means he's demonstrating it's capabilities

the glass is always half empty for you isnt it?

Has Raziaar become the new Vegeta?

On another note, that was pretty cool.

LOL? Lighten up guys. I was just joking about how slow the guy on the screen moved. Geez.

And I don't understand what you mean by your comment Kashmir.

just drop it and keep comments on topic

this thing is too cool to be derailed

Vegeta897 and Stern would "debate" over things a lot.

Well in that regard, Vegeta has actually taken over my place. I used to be the one doing that constantly and to no end as Vegeta often does now before Stern blocked him.

What I originally posted was on topic you fool.

And it wasn't negative either despite what you might think and the comment you made as such.

Looks pretty interesting, on his site he said that he'd release it publicly on the 30th, which was yesterday.

Its like another video someone posted where people use a webcame, and props they hold in real life to play games. The guy in the video was holding some blocks on his desk, and using a webcam or something the game used the blocks as controllers.

the boxes are the controller while what's on screen is the game

this already exists in primative form. My neice has a game/toy that is basically 3 boxes with screens that play animations when put together can act as one ..for example if your first box has a character walking it'll stop at the edge of the screen ..put another box beside it and the character will walk to the other screen on the second box.etc. it's pretty neat ..this has the same properties but in 3 dimensions and controlable through the box/physics

Where does the image come from? Is the box the system? I am still lost. Shorry. ;(

I've only watched brief snippets of the video so I'm not sure but if it's anything like my neices game the 3 boxes are the system ...they work individually and together ..one of the sides of the boxes is a screen

Oh, I've seen the primitive form. I don't know what it's called though. Pretty entertaining, really.

ya it's pretty cool because you can stack the boxes in any way and the animation will follow the path you set

each box has 4 sensors on all sides of the box so when you put them side by side the sensors connect

Oh.... I was always wondering what was up with that.

777: I'll never post again.

What a pile of vrap. I'd rather turn my bollocks into rubix cubes than have this pointless gadget wrecking the environment for the sake of 2 hours game play.

To me it looked more like the blocks were being recorded by a webcam or something and the computer was creating an image by reading symbols on them. If you look closely when the block isn't displaying an image of a room, it'll have a pattern of white squares on it. If the shapes are unique for each side/block, the computer could interpret which side it's looking at, and at what angle, and produce an image from that. Maybe. Just a guess mind you.

Looks awesome, anyway. :D

saw the full video last night and read some of the info around the installation ..I agree ..you could use paper boxes to achieve the same thing ...in fact the artist has a link to download the paper boxes ..the image on the box is just projected on the screen not on the actual box

it's still neat though
