you made it look easy. 1 question where did you get the drawn ladder from i cant find 1 or did you make it ur self

You can get them from prop entities. In their propeties click on "world model" and select one from the ones given to you.

where exactly is the problem?
don't you know how to place models in your map?
don't you know how to choose a model?
didn't you find the ladder while browsing through the models?

if we would know that, it would be easier to help out :D

the latter that u said "models/props_c17/metalladder002.mdl" isn't in there thats the problem.

Yes it is. Make sure you're mapping for Half-Life 2 and not CSS.

lol i was maping for css, but i used diff ladder

but it still doesn't work, what entity did u use for your ladder?

before u open hammer on the bottom click, chose counter strike source from the menu, unless u didn't make a configuration in hammer for counter strike, then u need to look at the manual, or figure it out for your self, like i did, it is complicated and i dont feel like writing a book :p
And after 10 mins of messing with it, i found my own way to make ladders, :p, so now back to my map.

Just so you all know, the ladder is actually a .jpg, but when you double click it to select it as the model for your prop_static, it will become a .mdl and will work.

The ladder looks nice and all in my map, but it is unfortunately, useless. I just can't climb it for the life of me. I made sure to keep everything out of the way of each other, nothing is intersecting. And it looks just like yours, except in my map. So what is wrong ?

I am curious as to whether or not the func_useable_ladder needs to be below and above the ladder, or whether it is just the useable ladder end ?? Hope you understand what I mean.

Help is appreciated. I think a ladder would be a lot easier for people, rather than boxes stacked on top of each other XD
