I want to make an animation from an.MOV but have never been able to figure out a way to extract frames or make screenshots from a video window. (The video area is always blank when I try.)

Anyone know of a free program that could help in some way?

well, i use the quicktime alternative codec(which comes with media player classic if you dont have it already), and im able to take snapshots of .MOVs and they aren't blank when pasted.

also on the site, the 'realplayer alternative' is a good codec to have, you can play quicktime and realplayer files and not have to download those bloated programs.
