Hey I know this is completely off topic.......oh wait.

Anyway, I'm writing a paper on World Hunger and solutions to world hunger. By solutions I don't mean those organizations like free rice. I mean economical and political solutions to world hunger. Does anyone know any good sources? All google returns is these organizations and really crappy 1st grade statistics on the topic. Anyone ever write a paper or feel strongly about the topic that knows some good sources I really could use the help.

Google is your friend! :D

Have ya tried typing in journal/studies/article and your content matter into a search engine and seeing what credible hits you get? Has your uni got it's own online article browser or online database/library search engine?

And your done, congrats on your A by the way...

the world needs starving people to keep things interesting.

Yeah, without starving people how would overpaid white westerners try and feel important and "good"? by paying lip service to solving the problem?.

More importantly how would Bob Geldorf manage to remain on telly?.

i always wanted to sponsor a child but Id hate to not be able to pick what he/she gets. Instead of food (which they're just gonna need more of anyway), ill buy them a xbox360, but only 1 controller (insert evil laugh with hilarious fart noise at the end)

How 'bout scientific solutions?

Got some plant science lectures you may find interesting. PM me an address to email them if you like.

what about those little kids in the desert, unless they have a hydroponics system, they're ****ed.

What? Plant science only = Hydroponics?

insert your favored method of growing plants, how's that?

It also encompasses selective breeding, and more importantly genetic research and development of GM crops. In fact these days the GM aspect is a lot more active than trying to 'find better ways to grow plants'.

good story ;)

There isn't enough food in the world, getting a job just means someone else will be hungry instead.

Or... develop better yielding crops?

Look on Wikipedia. Good articles are well referenced, the references will be at the bottom. Google Books will allow you to find copies of those references (from books) in libraries local to you, where you can read the relevant sections and use them to author your own paper.

Copying text from the internet is just ****ing stupid, whoever suggested that.

No, congrats on failing for plagiarism.

All the teacher has to do is copy a section of your work and paste it into google to expose you.

The penalty for cheating is different depending on your school

But Eejit, how can we convince the mass of middle-class morons that science is in fact the best chance to improve humanities lot then good intentions and sweet nothings?.

I mean, the paranoia against nuclear power and GM crops can border on stupid.

Mind sending some of those lectures my way?, you've peaked my interest, thanks.

As long as some countries allow the research and development then others can also start using the GM crops once their tummies start rumbling and they realise that maybe it was a good idea after all.

Many Asian countries (including Japan, China, India, Pakistan) are much more sensible about GM.

Yeah there are other ways.

Itty bitty baby, itty bitty boat.

Literally? I very much doubt that.

World hunger would not be a problem if every one ate semen. Just think how nutritious your little fishes are.

An estimated 30 million people die each year of malnutrition! ROFL!

I'm hungry most of the day, no one ever sends me any money!

If there is no world to starve, then you've solved world hunger, right?
