Go Canada!

1-0 Canada over Russia in the first period right now.

Czech Republic beat the US in overtime earlier today to win the Bronze.

So yea..go Canada :)

Did Russia beat the US on Sunday evening? I missed the end of the game.
(Was in the hospital.)

Yes, they owned them 7-2 or something.

Why were you in the hospital? Hope you feel better. Or the person you were there to see feels better.

2-0 Canada!

I got liver damage playing hockey. That's the end of my hockey career.

Ouch, that really sucks. Where do you live?

I just got back from reffing..I'm not playing this year, might play next year.

Stupid diving Russians. This isn't soccer boys, stay on your skates.

5-1 Canada!!!!

woooo

6-1

We're owning those retards.

They dont stand a chance! Hope your wearing red and white lol

Canada wins 6-1.

Take that you cocky Russians.

woohoo. Actually the whole tournament has been kinda boring because Canada hasn't had any actual competition. I think the Czechs came closest by losing 3 to 1. There is such a thing as being too good.

Yea, Canada ripped up the tournament completely. I knew they were good, but to beat the Russians this convincingly is something else.

Great stuff.

Nice job by Carter tying the Canadian scoring record.

The Flyers are going to be stacked in the middle if the NHL ever resumes.

hehe always thinking of the Flyers, aren'cha? ;)

yeah the win was quite convincing to say the least :)
i knew Bergeron was a good player and i wanted him to win Rookie of the Year for the NHL a year ago but yeah he really showed he was a man amoung boys in this tourney.

for next year's tourney, only Sidney Crosby and Cam Barker are qualifying players...looks like repeating will be a bit tougher :)

Well.. I didn't get to see the game really, since shitty ESPN would only show the gold medal game if the US made it.

Speaking of the Flyers :), can any of you canucks give me your impressions of Carter, Richards and Beauchemin (sp)?

well lets put it this way...some pple here were wondering which line is number 1 for Canada and while Sidney Crosby, Patrice Bergeron and Cory Perry were dominating the tourney early on... it was clear that Jeff Carter's line was the one that carried the team through the whole tourney...especially in the last 3 games.

none of the teams could challenge Carter's line pyhsically and we all know the line is just as talented as anyone else in the tourney.

and oh.. this version of Team Canada for the Juniors is being considered one of the best all time :)
