okay, so i bought it for $69.99(canadian) and i played for a bit until level 7. i am a mage, but am i mising somrthing here? whats so good about this game?? like people say it's amazing but all i've done so far is quests and killed monsters with the same fireball attack!!

i don't uintendon returning it, i actually want to enjoy this game tho, so can someone tell me the things that are the most fun about it that i haven't gotten to yet. and can someone just tell me whats so good about it period??

please i want to enjoy this. lol.

I feel the same way Darkknight.. only I dont have the game. I just want to know what your supposed to do in the game? Besides just running around and killing monsters ect.

Screw World of Warcraft. Good as it is, the only MMO I'm putting a subscription down for will be D&D Online. Real time fluid combo based fighting system as opposed to standing there and watching the same 3 slash/stab animations?
I'd hit it.

It follows the forula of every other mmorpg pretty much, nothing revolutionary except artistically, gameplay is pretty run of the mill Everquest stuff. It takes the best elements from all mmorpgs but doesent revolutionize anything :)

Take engineering, a very very fun and cool profession but expensive.

what do you do with Engineering? like, at the higher levels?

Watch vidoes of higher levels raping mobs to help get you inot the game. Then watch the cinematic 5 times and that should work :D

Seriously though lvl 7 is nothing and if your still using the same fireball i think you should go to the mage trainer and buy some new spells. Read some of the manual and get a feel for the game. PLus your still in the noobiest of noob areas, it gets alot better.

Just yesterday i was in the barrens at the crossroads (im only at lvl 20 on this one character) and i saw about 50 allience fighting their way into our outpost, man it was great forceing them back. We chased them all the way back to Ratchet where they tried to escape on boats and we massarced them. It was awsome.

Anyway what im trying to say is your still exploring the game. Give it some time.

Return it! MMORPGs are teh satan and teh suxx0rz. Run before you kill yourself because you lost your night elf girlfriend and your level 50 character!

Played, it didnd't like it. Thankfully I didn't have to pay. My bro bought a copy and I was just playing when he wasn't.

Shadowbane si still *THE* mmorpg when it comes to hardcore pvp, which is my key focus in mmorpgs.

haha, if your not a warcraft fanboy you shouldnt have gotten this game =P.
i played WoW for a few days, got to about lv12 undead rogue until i realized this game got boring...fast (i guess you can say that to ALL mmorpgs).

im still waiting for Guild Wars to come out, i liked the beta better than wow so w00t!

The only GOOD warcraft games were warcraft 1 and 2. 3 sucked for me and so many other former warcraft fans I knew.

EDIT: What am I saying knew? I mean know!

Do you know why there aren't loads of people saying WOW is amazing? because ALL the people on this forum that i know who like WOW are playing it. Ask the same question 2 weeks ago and you'd have been flamed like mad, but scince the EU beta was released they're all playing. Guess what i'm going to do now? that's right! play WOW.

Oh and Raziaar i loved Warcraft 3. judging by the amount of people who play the game I bet the people who like it outnumber those who don't 10 to 1. Warcraft 3 is my favorite RTS and World of warcraft is my favorite game. wanna guess what my favorite developer is? Blizzard :D

..Actually, Neocron1 or 2 is *THE* hardcore MMORPG when it comes to pvp.

I was'nt a warcraft fanboy and yet i still know a good game when it slaps me in the face.

WoW will get boring, only if your a boring person who has no imagination and no social skills, and by the way...don't expect Guild Wars to keep you entertained for long if you think "ALL" mmo's are boring.

ya, good thing guild wars ISNT your typical mmorpg now is it =)

I haven't played it, so i don't know a lot, but isn't it slightly suspicius that it doesn't have a monthly fee? i mean who will keep the servers up, and how will they pay them?

There are a number of things I want to make, just recently I made a Gnomish universal remote and took control over a harvester for a short while, it was very cool. What I really want to make though is a deepdive helm, they look so cool and you can breath underwater but what sucks is how you end up with no money because yuo keep buying materials and trying to upgrade your engineering skills as fast as possible so you dont really have that much cash.

It helps a lot if you have real life friends that play it as well. A couple of my friends convinced me to get it, and we're having great fun trying to level up the fastest.

I could type all these things out about how wrong you are... but I could play the game instead... so...

Lemme guess, you're playing WoW without any friends. Party up with people and you'll probably end up partying up with them frequently.

Besides, you're just at level 7. You're going to be doing some leveling up until you're running around border zones. Before you know it, you'll be doing instances and fighting alliance/hoarde.
