Introduction: Though massively multiplayer online role-playing games have been around for years, it has taken this long for the genre's breakthrough hit to finally emerge. Here is the online role-playing game you should play, no matter who you are. This is because World of Warcraft brings out all the best aspects of this style of gaming, if not many of the best aspects of gaming in general. It also features many of the specific characteristics that have made Blizzard Entertainment's previous games so entertaining, memorable, long-lasting, and successful. Of course, the company's past track record did not guarantee that World of Warcraft could have turned out this well. Such high quality simply cannot be expected, nor should it be missed.

blizzard deserver it. even though i (and probally most people here ) have played this game for over 50 hours in the betas, i still sat here and read all of the review, then watched the video review, then laughed at how everquest 2 got a crappy 70% score in comparison.

i am someone who definately doesnt like paying monthly for a game. but with WOW, i dont care. its just too good. too good.



well, like dedalus said, us europeans had better wait till febuary...

Suicide was'nt you in the closed beta too? 50hours only? i played 70 odd hours in the OB lol...maybe i just don't have a life I have got a job now though so bad news but at least i'll be able to pay for WoW.

Nice score. Its a review i actually agree with :O and in the words of Suicide42...WoW is just too good to miss.

Got my CE pre-ordered from gameplay :cheese: i'm expecting the pre-order pack sometime this week...hoping for final beta to start in early december. Can't wait. Can't wait even more for the retail release so i can really play the game on a character i know will be around forever.

Alig yes i was in the closed beta. and the open beta. and the stress test. and i have got over 6 different characters between level 10 and 26.

let me just figure this out... ive had the game for about 4 weeks in total (not counting the final week of the beta test, because i had exams then).and that counts as 5 weekends. maybe 6. every weekend i had the game in my possesion (except the last one) i played the game untill AT LEAST 2 in the morning, and started playing around about 5 ocklock, on staurdays i played from 12 in the afternoon.

thats about 9 hours on a friday, 6 or 7 hours on a sunday and a whopping 12- 14 hours on a saturday. 5 weekends = 140 hours, and add the time i spent on weekdays (probally 3 hours a day) thats another 40 or 50 hours. so yes alig you are right, i have spent more than 50 hours on WOW. i have spent...

150 - 200 HOURS PLAYING WOW!!! it is that good!​

Nah i don't know for sure, i'm just guessing. I just expect we will get them this week because they had the pre-order packs and started selling them on the 26th which was a friday and they won't send them the same day (or over the weekend) because its free post&packaging for the pre-order packs...so sometimes this week i guess. Bog standard mail does'nt take weeks (i don't think).

Not gunna happen no one will say its bad because they'd be lying to themselfs...i've seen people say they'd rather play EQ2 or L2 over WoW but none have said the games actually bad so you'll just have to make do with water and WoW

Their reviews don't really mean a lot to me, considering these are the people who gave Halo 1 a 9.7 and HL2 a 9.2.

That's not even me being a fanboy that's just stupid. Put anyone with 2 brain halves in a room with both games and they will like HL2 better and I'm willing to put money on it.

yes but halo1 was released 2 or 3 years ago, and back then it was pretty fresh stuff, not to mention the best shooter on any console. dont forget- halo came out before UT2003 and all the other FPS that are modern greats.
