I live in New Port Richey, which is just a little north of Tampa (30 minutes), but I have a dozen friends who go to USF and live either on campus or in apartments nearby. I'll be heading to USF after another semester or two of community college.

Baseball has actually become very interesting for me to watch. I've always been a Rays fan ever since my brother took me to a game, but I've never actually liked watching baseball until recently. It's really quite fun to watch, more so than American Football.

They show a few baseball games over here from time to time, and I'll admit it can alright at times. Kinda. I mean it's sort of like an American version of cricket, only you get the impression it's more exciting as there's huge crowds and a shitload of money put into it.

But as far as the big four North American sports go - it's all about ice hockey. Seriously entertaining once you get into it. You should go see the Tampa Bay Lightning play sometime, although they're pretty shite as far as I know.

Yeah I guess so, there is that new IPL or whatever. Can't say I've ever watched a game though. Not a cricket fan either to be honest. But American sports generally are just so commerical, when you're watching a game you get the impression it's like some massive event, huge crowds, thousands of people jumping out of there seats screaming when a someone hits a home-run. But for the majority of the time I'm bored to tears. I s'pose it just comes down to what you're brought up playing/watching.

Me as well, I try to watch football, I just can't do it. Too many commericals to watch, and the play-by plau announcers suck as well. It also hurts when your team (the Jets) just aren't that good.

I love baseball with a passion, and the NL games go quicker than American League games too. Baseball is more of a stats sport than any other sport. Football is a little bit, but not quite as much baseball. Great play-by-play anounncers really help make a baseball game interesting, if your watching it on tv.

P.S: Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are awful.
