World Trade Center

I thinks its very say that a company is now going to make millions on this.

Yes, we shouldn't make films about heroic people while simultaneously making millions. How very communistic.

I'll be really surprised if it is better than United 93.

Fact is humans find 'hero' stories like this entertaining, so they're always going to be made. That said, I though Over There was pretty cool, so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't make this.

Why?

Oh no, a film costs money to make and is going to produce an income.

The fact is that the only way this film is going to rake in "millions" is if audiences choose to make it so. I personally find nothing morally wrong with this film, and I find most complaints lobbied against it to be ill-thought. In the end, if you don't want to see it for whatever reason, you don't have to. I, for one, will give it a shot because it looks like it will be a good film and Stone has seemingly been nothing if not sincere with his attempt.

Even if does turn out to be crap, who cares? The memory of 9/11 isn't going to be tarnished by one film.

"Hey dude... remember the world trade center?"

"Yeah, that movie was shitty."

:|

If it's good, I'll be glad they made it. If it sucks, then I'll be pissed they made it. Simple.

After the initial shock of the attacks 5 years ago everyone knew it was just a matter of time before flicks were coming out. So the only one left is the Pentagon.

I have no problem with the movie being made, I have a problem with how shitty the script is

"Look, we can still see the light"
*Cue slow-motion flashbacks of the firefighters with their wives*

Ok, that made no sense whatsoever.

My cousin was a firefighter who died at the WTC on 9/11, and I have no problem with them making this film, or making money from it.

Even so, I wont see it because it looks like melodramatic shite. If it turns out to be like United 93, I'll consider it, but frankly it doesnt look to be that kind of quality.

He didn't say anything about communism you f*cking twat.

I'm not suprised by this in the least but I doubt I'll like it.

WTF?

I said not allowing people to make movies on their free will is communistic, you ****ing twat.

Hey rim, leave numbers alone!
Stop fighting, both of you!

Oh no, i dont want to see that film. Even the trailor made me teary eyed. Far too sad!

*numbers reposts korean propaganda commie bullshit rant in thread x*

Why? They made Titanic. The 9/11 attacks was a terrible thing but it's happened and this film doesn't make it anymore real or unreal.

Yeah, and not to mention they made millions on United 93, Pearl Harbor, Saving Private Ryan, and a gajillion other films about American Heroism. It's not disrespecting 9/11, and that's all I really care about.

Some scenes in the trailer reminded me of the documentary 9/11. Anyone see that?

I have only seen about 1 preview for it but I think I will try and go see it.

Far too soon.

You shouldn't make movies about political events unless its 20 or so years afterwards, or else the movie is all caught up in bias, is overly sentimental, and might offend the victims.

I have the strongest feeling this is going to be a crappy pat on the back, flag waving fest.
