Yesterday, when Mother came over to pick me up from my grandparent's, she tells me that Eli, her boyfriend, was moving out.

Me and Eli have always been very close. He's never been the guy just living with us, he's my friend. He's probably one of the few people I'd be proud to call part of my family.

****. Apparently they broke up on her birthday, so Mother, being herself, has to spring this on me on MINE. She's been going around, taking me places, acting like I should be all happy and shit, while being a selfish bitch.

Mother has all the emotional stability of a freshman in high-school who lost her first boyfriend, so I knew this wasn't going to work out for them, but she doesn't have to be so light about this.

I don't want to see Eli go....

Its not even "my mother" its just "Mother." Even people who say "mom" say "my mom" when they're talking to anyone but their siblings.

And taking you places you want to go for your birthdays doesnt compute with me when you say shes doing it while being a selfish bitch.
