Would this case keep my comp cool? And is it a good case?

Hmm... What do you think??? Of course, its an excellent case. Try getting a nice HSF also.

Well I have all my parts already. I just wanted a new case because this case isn't keeping my 9800 or 3.0ghz p4 cool at all. I just hope my mobo fits? Do I have to worry about that? My mobos a P4P800 ASUS ATX.

If the case is an ATX, it will fit(Which it is) TT's xaser is a top of the line case.

Beats the case I have now which I THOUGHT was cool. It was a Generic REAL CASE. Turns out it's a piece of crap, but it gets the job done I guess. I'm definately porting my stuff to this one then. (When I get the money) :p

Hm you said a nice HSF to go with it. I can't find any good or any at all HSF's for P4 3.0ghz processors...:(

Im getting a zalman 7000-Cu. Probly the best HSF. TT Spark 7+ are excellent and so are Aeroflows, though i hear people have major vibration because of the TMD.

Will the case itself be enough? Or will the HSF make a big difference because I'm spending a large sum of money as it is.

Maybe you should fine a case that has good cooling and dosnt look like shit...just my opinion though. Cheiftec and antec have good cases for cooling and airflow for $50-100

You think the Xaser III is a shitty looking case? Wow. I'll look into Antec, but I think Cheiftec sucks hard. I'll see what I find on Antec and get back to you, thanks!

I like TT, they have some pretty inventive products. But I've heard that most of their HSF's are pretty crappy and I know that their water cooling systems are total crap, might as well go with air cooling.

When it comes to HSF's I would recommend a Alpha PAL 8942. You could run it with a 80mm fan @ 6V and it still will give your cpu good cooling. This is the heatsink I would have gone with if I didn't have watercooling.

What the hell? Cheiftec doesn't suck.. If anything they make better quality products then TT.

I agree with Ridic.. Xaser cases has too much crap everywhere and they look ridiculous. But I'm sure allot of ppl find them really cool looking.

ok guinny your right...i guess its not that bad. But i dont like cases that have big words or letters on them. Chieftec makes top quality cases, but makes low quality PSU's. I ordered mine w/o a psu.

i also dont think silver and red mix well. If you can find a black and red on i would suggest that....

with the chieftecs you can have up to 5 80mm fans. 2 in the back for outtake, 1 on the side for intake, 2 at the front (one for hdd) for intake. So it has pretty good airflow and a side fan blows a lot of cool air on the video card.

EDit- and after look at those inside pics it dosnt look like that case has good airflow. I dont see any front fans and all the air the top side fan takes in would instantly be sucked out by the lower back fan since they are like 2 inches apart. Having a front fan increases airflow through your comp front to back.

Well I already have a full body heatsink that I installed on my video card. My 9800 still burns up and so does the heatsink. Let me tell ya, this 9800 sure conducts alot of heat. Between that and the 3.0ghz processor, I could really use the 7 fans. So how do they work? The top one and back ones outtake, the two front and sides intake?

Useless eye candy yes. But I do lan parties and I have to look hip:p. Not to mention I like the 7 fan idea. It's a refridgerator in there.

Get the Alpha PAL, it's the best heatsink imho.. Get it with a Titan aluminium fan. It won't get much better then that when it comes to air based cooling :p.

i still cant see any front fans in that. Both cages look like they would be in the way.

Oh, and what's that shit on the bottom of the Chieftec case? Those white looking things?

Edit - thank you zool :)

It's the clip on things for the 5.25" bay. You screw them on your cd-rom for example then clip it on to the bay.

ermp, i just though of something. When my case comes it better have included 2 back fans and a side panal fan. Hmmm, i really dont feel like ordering anything else. It use to say standard but...sheesh i guess ill find out on friday.

Don't count on it, I didn't get any fans with my Cheiftec.. Except for the one on the "side door".

Bastards!!! Im gonna be pissed. It dosnt say anywhere that they dont come with it...though it dosnt say they do either. Goddamnit i hope your wrong.

The white clip thingies. Do I need them? I'm a very simple guy, if I don't use them can I take them out?

Edit - also the chieftec says amd approved power supply. that wont effect my p4 right?

Your suppose to take them out and screw them on to your cd-rom, dvd-rom or whatever.. Then you clip them on to 5.25" bay.

EDIT: No it wont effect your p4.

I thought you werent getting a chieftec?

Well if you are, dont get a chieftec psu. They can be bought without them

Is 350watts enough? Because I'm thinking about this enermax case, it's hot as hell, also it can have two front fans, two rear, and a side. It's only actual downside is only 350 watts. Would I be ok though with 350?

Id say 400W minimum for you.

go for 400 baby!!! WoOoooHOOO!

sorry, i dont know.

400 is a good solid choice though.

If you get 350, make sure its good brand

You can't go wrong with Enermax.. but still, I would prefer 400W minimum with your equipment.

Actually, uh, that's VTECH. And it is 400w. Or, am I missing something?
