would this mod be difficult to make

as i know nothing about modding, would it be difficult to make a mod where you only have gravity guns and a ball and 2 goals, so that (funnily enough) the goal of the (team) game would be to.. well, make goals. sort of like basketball (more like football actually) but with gravity guns.. just thought about it since i was playing on this type of server, but it didnt have goals, so it was kind of pointless.

Don't trust my advice (i'm new to this), but I think it would involve something like making a new brush entity which, when the right phys_prop (your ball) enters it, one team scores. The rest of the game logic, I know not where to start.

You'd have to code some system for stealing the ball from someone who already has it, since as it's described the game would just be a race to the ball : whoever picks it up first scores (its impossible to pull something from someone elses grav gun).

hmm in the server i played i thought it was possible to steal the ball by using the primary fire of gravity gun.. not sure

well if you were gonna make the mod go ahead since i would first of all have to LEARN modding, which would be sort of pointless if someone can do the thing in few days. reason i asked about it in the first place was because it seemed to have a lot of potential when i played it on the server (which basically already had the mod except goals)

I've always thought I'd be better if the ball was huge, like twice the size of a person, noone carries it you have to use teamwork to move the ball into the opposing teams goal.
