well my sister just gave me a wireless network card...and right now im using my integrated ethernet card...and i was wondering if i can install the wireless card but continue to use my integrate for the internet...

the reason i would want to install it is when i go to my friends for a lan i could just maybe switch to the wireless (because he has a wireless router)

I am telling you it is. Nothing will conflict. All that would matter is if you had the wireless set to disabled which you should have when you are using the ethernet port. When you go to your "friend's" house, disable ethernet then enable wireless. Yes, it is that simple.
