Would you fight for your Country? {Resistance}

I'm writing {hobby} a saga of a rebel group inside a city invaded by a much larger force. Anyways I was thinking about how many people would join, or at least try to make the attempt to join with the war parties.

On the other hand of the situation, the invading force also offers better housing and food to those that join their forces. {Note - this started before I had even heard of HL2}

So what would you do if your City or Town was invaded?

It would entirely depend on how evil/nice/politicalaffiliation?? the invaders were, wouldn't it? If I was a German citizen in 1945 when the Americans invaded I'd probably actually be quite happy. If my city and/or town was invaded by aliens that made everything really nice I'm not entirely sure I'd mind that much.

The invaders are evil, but not evil. They have moved a large section of people out of their homes, only letting them keep a handfull of goods, to make way for their Upper Class. On the other hand they are fighting after thier motherland has been destroyed by warfare, leaving them nowhere to go but invade.

EDIT: If you fight for the invaders, you get paid with better food, living standard etc... But if you fight for the Rebels you can take whatever you like from the houses inside their "safe" zone.

If they had nowhere to go they could have requested asylum in a load of other places, peacefully. Plus, if they have military power enough to invade and totally pwn Britain I don't see how they don't have power enough to carve out their own space in their own country. They can **** right off frankly.

Of course. It should be even easier in IRL. In CS try spraying for eg. an ak47 in the air and then, still spraying, point at someone. You won't hit shit. Now try that IRL and see the difference ;P

It would all depend on what the stakes were, if the attacking army were going to hurt my family and my people, then yes i would fight and die.

heh with the sheer number of you willing to fight the invaders it'd give people like me enough time to escape and probably enough time to wash the car, walk the dog, water the plants, bring back overdue library books, finish up any loose ends and stop at Wendys for lunch
