No. I play EQ2. I've used the /pizza command. It doesn't kick you out of the game. It switches the game to windowed mode. I think that it's a novel idea that many players will utilize. Or they could just pick up the phone....

Seriously though, I would rather see realistic advertisement signs over fake advertisements. It adds alot to the realism.

Like it said in the article, I would rather see a sign that says "The Gap" instead of "The Goop"

So this option is so that hardcore gamers don't have to leave the computer (or the game) to order a pizza. But won't they have to get up to answer the door, and then take several minutes away from the computer anyway to eat the pizza?

This sounds like a cheap ploy to get advertising through the game. I'm starting to get tired of this product placement that I see in most games these days. And in a game like Everquest 2, it doesn't even make sense. :|

IMO this is a great idea. Not as much for the consumer, but a good buisness idea. The consumer isn't getting ripped though. The average gamer probably would like to use the console in Eq2 to order a pizza, they don't have to be taken away from the game for as long & as long as they don't mind eating junk the consumer would be happy.

But this is more than definately a good buisness idea as long as it's executed properly. Eq2's developers & Pizza Hut's franchises will soon both be rolling in the piles of money if enough gamers will buy from the Eq2 console.

And if you think it's wrong because of laziness\health, remember in your mind that the physical exertion from typing on a
keyboard\clicking a mouse isn't much worse than walking a couple of steps & picking up your phone & dialing a few numbers.
