i've been thinking. I've always wanted a brother or sister, i dont know why, it just sometimes gets a bit boring at my house. i dont have anything to do, so i tend to just play on games and watch TV. but for me, having a brother or sister would be a dream come true... I WOULDNT BE BORED ANYMORE!! isnt that amazing? this sounds sad, but ive had 15 years of being bored. ive tried skateboarding, biking, badmington and no matter what i do it allways ennds up with me getting bored. or breaking something.

I have loads of freinds at school, but i never really do anything with them after school. a couple of years ago i used to sleep round someones house every friday, y'now just phone someone up and spend the night watching movies and playing games. but recently schoolwork has taken over and now im more bored than ever.

A few days ago when i was walking home from school (listening to my mp3 music and thinking about stuff, as usual) i was wondering what it would be like to have a little sister (only like 1 oe 2 years younger). someone who looks up to you, but also trusts you (the reason im not thinking brother is because i have this strange feeling he would be really annoying and nick all my stuff... i have no idea why). Now, about a year ago we had our loft converted into a room, and its now just full of paperwork and all my dads stuff from work. but i could imagine it being a bedroom... with a PC lanned up to mine, and a TV etc. now i know this sounds really sad lol, but i can imagine how fun it would be, talking to my little sis' ion the mic as we slaugtered our way through countless enemied on UT2k4, or bombarded internet players with armies on C=C geneerals.

having someone you can really relate to and do things with would be so great. watching movies, playing games... EVERYTHING would be 10 TIMES more fun if i had someone to do it with. i wouldnt just be playing halo2 singleplayer... i would be playing halo2 co-op, the two of us blasting away and saving earth from hordes of enemies. boredom would be forever washed away...

but then it hits me like a brick. i dont have a sister. i dont have someone who i can rent movies with, or beat at CS.i am walking home from school, listening to music, thinking about something that is so remotely impossible its stupid evenen imagining it... and when i get home i will turn on the PC and talk on forums, then have a game of CS: S, do my homework and go to bed. then i will go to school the next day, and do the same.

im bored... and its never going to change.

you've got some odd thoughts, bud.

It's all good. I've felt the same way before. ...Then I see one of my freinds who has younger siblings and I see how they fight and get on each others nerves all the time. I'm not saying that it would be a bad thing, but it probably wouldn't be how you imagine...

yea i know. if i DID have a sister she would probally just do all her homework and complain that i have my music too loud etc. etc, then claim i had nicker her pencil sharpner and get annoyed that all i ever do is play computer games.

but meh, i can dream ;)

I have two older brothers. It really is good :) We've argued and generally annoyed each other, but we're brothers so...I dunno, its just different. I think we've also worked past all that now, because I can't remember the last time I argued. With anyone in my family actually, let alone my brothers.

I don't often play lans with them though, but we do watch films and generally hand about together.

i have a younger sister. when she's not reading her lecture notes/studying, she's playing on her xbox, and i've only just managed to get her addicted to HL2 :D she's played HL1, Opposing Force and Blue Shift, and enjoyed them too. it's great too, because now i've got her backing me up when i go begging my parents for some cash for a new comp ;)

the next stage is getting her addicted to WoW, then my work will be complete.

Nopey, it sucks. I cant play games as often since they are always using ps2/Pc. :( and they dont like playing multiplayer games i like. and they moan and whine and generally get on your nerves. Kill them all I say

Both my younger siblings play games. :O They're three and nine years younger, though...

I have 2 older brothers. We play too many tricks/pranks on each other...

Excuse me if i have this wrong Farrow, but i now am quite worried...

I have a brother and we don't see each other often because of Uni, but when we do see each other we dont argue so much, he used to annoy me with his music (oasis) really loud and i used to annoy him by being on the pc all the time playing Civ or Hl or something.

awww...
I have 2 older brothers. We lived in the middle of nowhere so there wasnt so much other kids to play with, and no other girls at my age. so there was a LOT lan matches between us after school.
Especially remember how my brother got upset when I kicked his arse in Mortal Kombat and Doom :D . Funny thing how I always lost against them in C&C tho, hehe.
those were the days :)

My cousin has a younger sister. She kicked his ass in CS.

Ahh the memories. :D

I've got an older sister who lives on her own now. :)

I play shooter games, my wife plays civ like game, my stepson (15) plays real time strat games. once in awhile we hook up and lan..., just gotta teach the little one (16 months) to play also...she can already say go go go

You do NOT want a sibling who also likes to play games or get on the computer, since you would have to keep getting off because "its their turn!" If they have the money to get their own computer, then disregard the above statement.

i've got an older brother and step sister...both are bastards. you're lucky

My brother and I used to play five deaths each at TFC, but now he only plays The Sims or GTA3, and rarely at that.

It was great playing 1v1 FIFA 96 on the PC where one player got the keyboard (great controls) and the other the mouse (wishful thinking controls) and desperately trying to steer your keeper back towards the goal with the mouse, but only ending up running to the corner flag.

I also had a great multiplayer football match ever against my dad, on ISS Deluxe on the SNES (greatest football game EVER) in which I lost 1-0 after a Poborsky style chip from the Keegan player.

I'm 15, I have a 12 year old younger brother, he's cool sometimes but most of the time he just pisses me off and steals the computer and HL2 from me.

Enjoy your peace.

I have an older sister who plays games. The only games I played with her were some Atari games, Scorched Earth, and about 2 minutes of Age of Empires. The last game I played with her was... mmmm.... Scorched Earth... online :D Errm, actually, no, 'twas some remake of Nibblers with annoying music....

That's about right.

Oh how I wish I had a brother or sister. I can get so bored sometimes.

hah, that reminds me when we had only 1 computer in the house, there was always a big fight about whose turn it was to play. We had to arrange a gaming day to all, so that everyone got each one a day to sit and play, without being disturbed. :D
Mostly the pc was occupied by my father

w00t someone understands!!!

anyway, there seem to be lots of moxeed reactions. its either "i have a bro / sis and they are great, we get on well" or "i have a brother and he steals all my games and gets on my nerves".

i think it all boils down to whether they have a PC of their own... rofl :D

I have a younger sister who plays the Sims 2, and a younger brother who plays... well, actually most of the time he's on MSN chatting. I went into recently used documents once and there were pictures of atleast five different girls in his Recieved Files folder. My little brother is a pimp :|

I'd want like a really little sister I think, not brother, but maybe a 6+ year old sister. unless she was annoying, but that probably wouldn't happen like with a brother.

All my younger sister does is play the Sims...
I play everything I get with my older bro though.

:) If I had a sister, i'd force her ass to play, force her to play all day. Yeah, there could be people tryna hit on her etc etc, better than have that shit going on online instead of her going out and having that happen face to face ;) . But then again, I don't have a sister.

I've got a younger sister (2 years younger) who likes games.

She doesn't love them the way I do, but she likes to play occasionally. She doesn't usually play unless it is something like a fighting game on a console. She kicked her boyfriend's ass at Street Fighter (after learning from me). Now he absolutely refuses to play with her, because he was beaten by a girl.

But she really likes to watch me play single player games that have some semblance of story/puzzle action. Some of the most fun times I've had playing SP games is with my sister beside me helping me figure out the puzzles.

E.g. the original Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Monkey Island, Ecco the Dolphin, and so on and so forth.

One bad aspect of having a little sister who likes games, is all my friends hit on her :(

get more friends or a girlfriend or something, brothers/sisters aren't the great thing some TV shows seem to make out, more arguments and fighting than being nice, atleast until much older, then its barable heh.

can you help me get a girlfreind? :)

At any rate, you're gonna want more than one computer, nothing would suck more than some sibling hogging hl2 when you want to play :D

Even tho theres no brothers here anymore to arguea with, I hustle with my father. there only 1 computer in my home that HL2 and any other new games will work on, so theres some quarrel sometimes :D
Hes a total gamer and a HL fan, and hes 53! lol :p

Me and my sister hate eachother. The brother\sister relationship you dream about is probably impossible in real life :p :p

I live with two brothers and my younger sister. Know how we solved PC Hoggin issues? We have 6 computers in the house and our parents don't own them either.

Oh how true that statment is.

I have a younger brother, he is like my polar opposite. The only thing we have in common is that we like to play games, all he plays is GTA and the Sims 2 though...

i flew home this past week for the American holiday Thanksgiving and saw all my siblings. they're so awesome. I'm the oldest with five brothers and a sister. we have a lan at home. we didn't all have computers to play hl1mp, but we shared and it still rocked. suicide42, siblings are amazing. i love my family so much. as the oldest, i helped mold them into the great people they've turned out to be...ok, ok, i can't take ALL the credit. i have some cool parents.

my life would have been horrible without my siblings growing up. i spent all my summers with them for so long. they're so cool now, doing all their own things. They all have different interests, but we still all love hl1mp. Bounce is the shiznit.

I'm the oldest, and I'm a bum. I don't pride myself on being a shining influence :D
