You know, that's probably the perfect range for attaching some sort of mobile airborne home to the ship via grappling hook. They wouldn't be too high in space, so if it's a full hour's-drive worth of cabling, you'd be hanging somewhere in the atmosphere during orbit

lol, so they say that in a few years going on normal flights around the world cost extortionate amounts, and they are using similiar technology to launch into space?

I feel extremely sceptical that this will work somehow unless they develop a none fossil fuel reliant engine.

This thing won't go nearly as high as the shuttle and is not nearly as heavy or big; it's just a small glider that'll skim the edge of space and dive back down after less than 20 minutes.
