I just switched from a 680W PSU to a 1200W PSU and WOW all of the sudden everything is running really good. Has anyone else ever upgraded their PSU and gotten better frames?

That would be the only situation I could see it happening. And it has happened to me before. The pcie connector on the PSU had a loose wire and I know at least with Nvidia you'll get an alert window popping up telling you the auxiliary connector is not plugged in, etc. Not sure if ATI's drivers have this or not. It's a big stretch when referring to a 680 watt PSU but I can see the GPU not going at full speed if it wasn't getting enough power. I know they can if you forget to put the 6-pin GPU power in. Wonder if the PSU was not running right or if it was really warm (they drop how much power they put out and how efficient they are as they heat up).
You can blame noobs for misinterpreting the term "WoW" as a cool way to say "wow"I thought this thread was going to be about World of Warcraft.
I installed an 8800gtx and suddenly everynight three gorgeous 18 year old women come into my room to rub my feet, scratch my back, and suck my cock.
For the price of a 8800GTX, I expect Nvidia to send you three naked women to perform fellatio on you.
I have to agree with Ennui. Stability and a better PSU go hand in hand, but better performance? I call shenanigans
