Look at this. It can perform 2-2-2-5 at 500mhz.
And those are some sweet unreal tournament scores.
Does anyone know how good geil is though.
I have seen a couple reviews on the internet for them but I didint pay much attention untill I came across this one.
I dont think that this ram will do 2-2-2-5 on all motherboards though. But its still very impressive considering its pc4000.

2-2-2-5 @ DDR500 is awesome, but unfortunately you have to take those numbers with a big grain of salt. When a magazine/site asks a memory manufacturer for a few sample sticks to test, guess what the manufacturer does: hand chooses the samples. Two sticks of the same memory can vary drastically in quality, and the manufacturer will test a bunch to find the highest quality ones they can. We don't have that luxury when buying memory, so what you buy is more likely to max out near the rated speeds/timings than what they get in reviews. It's kind of rediculous that hardware sites don't mention this.

Also, it doesn't seem to say that it's stable at 2-2-2-5 @ 500Mhz, he just says it RUNS at 2-2-2-5 @ 500. Big difference. But all in all it looks like Geil is coming out with some fairly high quality ram.

Well there is plenty of reviews for the exact same ram. Im going to look around and see what other people got for results. Im sure its stable at 2-2-2-5 though. He did mention that he had troubles with the ram at 530 but it was fine at 510. Because it was the same paragraph im assuming he meant at the 2-2-2-5 timings.
