I recently installed a hard drive that turned out to be faulty, so today I replaced it with a new drive of the same model. I did a clean install of Vista on the new drive, then copied my important files and downloads from the faulty drive. I booted again, this time with the faulty drive disconnected, but I got a "Reboot and select proper boot device" message. It seemed I could only boot if I had the faulty drive connected, which is incredibly annoying. I checked disc management and saw that the faulty drive was marked as "System".
So is there any way I change the system volume?
