WRT54GX2 Wireless 3rd Party Firmware?

I just got my hands on a WRT54GX2 router and I know that there is hacked firmware for it (to boost signal, etc...). I just can't seem to remember the name of it. Do any of you lovely hardware/software ppl know the name of the firmware for it or who makes it? I guess I can go on using it w/out the hacked firmware but I'm a tech guy...I like to tinker with stuff like this. Thanks

You wouldn't possible be talking about HyperWRT firmware?

That only supports WRT54G(S). I checked on other sites and they state that WRT54GX2 as the GX2 uses hardware for configurations over software or somethin like that. Sooo...this can be closed unless someone else knows of this firmware that can be used.

I guess your right, although I do believe there was a firmware update for the WRT54GX2 if you are having any problems with it.

Yea, I chucked the update onto it. Works great so far. Basement to my living room I still get "Excellent". With my netgear it would drop to "Great" from my basement to the living room.
