I was looking on Coast to Coast AM yesterday evening (as you do).

Anyway there was a link to an article about the X-Files spinoff series; The Lone Gunmen, featuring an attack on the WTC.

The X-Files spinoff series, ’The Lone Gunmen,’ had its pilot episode concerned with a federally-sanctioned/terrorist plot to fly an airplane by remote-control into the World Trade Center! The pilot was written by Chris Carter, Vince Gilligan, John Shiban and Frank Spotnitz.

’Despite the concerns of some fans, the plot of TLG is indeed part of the boxed set. This would seem like a no-brainer - until you realize that the central conspiracy in the episode involved high-tech electronic hijacking of a commercial airliner with the intent of crashing it into the WTC. Although the episode was conceived and shot in 2000 and aired 6 months before the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the eerie coincidence sent shockwaves through cast and producers.’

I never knew this....did you?

If you still don't believe the government would do such a thing, please refer to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwood

Co-incidence.
Alex Jones interviewed the Lone gunmen you have to pay to see the video though.

Those dastardly government types just couldnt resist broadcasting their evil plot on primetime television. The swine!

Or maybe it served as an inspiration for the original hijackers ?

Well one of Tom Clancy's books(Can't remember which,THe one with the Japanese Invasion) has a pissed off Japanese airline pilot crashing a plane into the US house of Representatives killing all but the Vice President.

Then C&C Red Alert 2 has Missions where you have to blow up/protect both the Pentagon and the WTC from attack.

It's nothing new really, And the 9/11 terrorists were just the first ones to do it but it wasnt an origional idea.

And not to mention... the WTC was attacked once before already... it's not like it was the first time.

Yeah, it was thought of many times before it actually happened by people a lot more creative than our leaders. Proof of a governement conspiracy? Go get your tin-foil hat...then piss off.

I love this particular line of reasoning.

"That makes no sense whatsover in reality but I saw it on The X-Files / The Matrix so it must be not only plausible, but inherently true!"

Remember, Trinity CRASHED a helicopter INTO A SKYSCRAPER, causing an EXPLOSION.
But THAT WAS IN THE MATRIX and so IT WAS NOT REAL!!!

FURTHER EVIDENCE:

Two Hip-Hop Artists, known collectively THE COUP, recorded an album in June 2001 whose original cover art featured THE TWIN TOWERS EXPLODING when frontman Raymond "Boots" Riley presses the button on his REMOTE DETONATOR. DJ Pam the Funkstress can be seen CELEBRATING in the background.
After the attacks, the album art was COVERED UP before it could ever be released to the public!

So obviously the LONE GUNMEN tv show was fiction.

The real fiction, is that GEORGE BUSH made THE TWIN TOWERS EXPLODE with a REMOTE DETONATOR in order to stage THE COUP - in Baghdad!!!

Is this the face of the new world order???

I've ran out of tinf-foil

This is a joke, right?

I thought I’d seen all manner of lunacy regarding this.

This joker he thinks it is in the numbers.

Now a spin of the X files was broadcast as a warning before hand. Dear Lord.

Darth Vader is not real; he does not turn up to movie premiers of star war movies. He is a guy all dressed up. Aliens and Predators did not fight it out under one of the Polar ice caps. And Sarah Conner did not save humanity from a horde of time travelling murderous robots. It is all make believe.

Either that or a squad of mutants with amazing powers are about to invade Glasgow intent of saving themselves from being cured this weekend, if Xmen 3 is to be believed.

And Deus Ex didn't have the twin towers in NYC due to technical constraints, but the team explained that in the storyline as "they had been destroyed by terrorist attacks many years before"

I guess blowing up the statue of liberty's head put the icing on the cake.

Incidently, the magazine advert for C&C2 showed the WTC with some planes flying towards it... if memory serves.

By the way to anyone who remembers me, hello! Used to love a good old debate in here last year :farmer:

HA! Just realised my avatar is still upside down from the "Upside down avatar day"....

And the original RA2 box had internal box art with conscripts attacking the WTC.

Ahh so it was EA(Well Westwood made RA2 but they had already been bought by EA at the time.)

EA is more evil then I thought ;)

You mean RA2? I've got the poster showing Kirov airships heading towards New York and the WTC.
