WTF!!!! missing gameinfo.txt

Does somebody know what happened???
my gameinfo.txt is gone since the new update of steam and know i cant map anymore because hammer needs it: so i thought there will be probably such a file in the hl2 map but nothing. how the hell am i supposed to continue?????

Run the game.

Yep. Just run whichever game you're going to map for before you start Hammer.

either that or just copy an existing gameinfo.txt into the right directory (although this only happened to me when running hammer so.........)
