wtf Monitor out of Sync?

So i woke up today to go play CS:S, and i booted up the game, and my old sk00l crt monitor stayed blank and showed the 'out of sync' screensaver. wats going on? the game loaded and i had to quit. but my monitor stays blank.. I heard you can boot steam via command prompt and set the video but i dont have a clue what it is. i have a feeling its out of sync via Hertz like. 60Hz vs. 50Hz (or vice versa i dont know... lol)

thanx if anyone reads this. is this a steam update?

go there, its pretty self explantatory. just click launch css and reset the video. you will lose all your video settings, but it will change the reolution back down
