This is the biggest mercs training facility in the world. 90 % of mercs and security in Irak comes from them. The cool thing is that normal people can get the training too, altaugh it's a bit expensive just to learn to shoot a handgun 900 USD for a 7 day training. Check it out : http://www.blackwaterusa.com

Pay money, learn all sorts of military stuff.

No I mean the people that get like rented out by the government.. Do they really do that?

You know, I've heard of this before. Something bothers me though. I can see a whole bunch of wacky Montana survivalist types taking a week long training and thinking they can break from the Union because now they know how to rip a man's head off with tooth pick. In other words:

FEAR MONTANA!

with the shrinking of the military there are several private security firms that perform SPECIFIC military tasks, like diplomat security. So that 'regulars' do not have to removed from details to escourt some polictian around a combat zone.

If you want to reduce the defecit you have to shrink military spending, thus this is the spin off private security forces. Plus its pays sometimes 4 times more than what you do in the military so it makes the best of both worlds.

BTW the private security forces are not same as the home brew extremists, as most of the members of the private security forces are ex military including special forces and police officers

There's merc for hire groups that help fight wars for countries...

I could never see myself joining one of those. Its one thing to join your countries standing army, but to join a group that goes out and sees battle from all different sides, all the time? Crazy.

The Government has many private military contractors that send in soldiers for hire during war time. There were several small squads of these "mercs" in Iraq during the primary assault.

I even heard about mercs doing "grunt" job hunting down T's in the mountains and stuff.

You'd be hardpressed to get a job unless you're former law enforcement or military. Competition is stiff. My bro who just got back from Iraq looked into them, and a few others jobs in his area (one providing security at Bill Gates mansion, awesome stuff) but he decided against it as he's going to go to college now.

Contractors are paid a lot though if you deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan or other volatile security regions, $100,000+ a year etc.

My uncle was going to deploy as a medical contractor to Iraq but that deal fell through I guess.

I could go for the SWAT or executive protection course.

I wonder what High Risk Security Ops is? Anti-terror?

So basicly there are people and politicions protesting gaainst games because they are supposedly training you for killing, but they don't mind these kinds of facilities.
