Played a couple of hte maps...the boat one, was real fun to shove AT rockest through the boats front end...then matrix dodge random rockets...great times.

Then a level muich like a jungle. Brush, high grass, trees, debris. Great for claymores...and M203's

Only 2 maps I've played. They are fun.

I went and looked around most of the maps, it's real quality stuff. I want to run thoes on my clans server but the only downside is that it wouldn't be ranked on thoes maps.

That's what sucks about this whole ranked thing. Mod map makers don't get NEARLY the credit they do, because people are sanctioned to getting those points on a server somewhere saying they are kicking some butt, or they are whoring the jet better than so and so. It would be cool if a server could run ANY map, but only the maps that are part of the BF2 ranking system got the stats reported back to the servers...

Stats are the worst thing about this game, people care more about getting a 75x75 picture of a badge than enjoying the game... sad really.

Stats are the only thing that kept BF2 alive for me. Unlike most FPS it makes you feel like you're actually achieving something. It's why MMO's pwn FPS's.

I thought it was the fact that you could play with most of your friends together and kick some ass...

In the same manner that MMO's make you feel like you're actually getting something done, actually achieving something, which is why MMO's continue to dominate the gaming market.
