I just noticed X-Com 2 has just been released on Steam for around 2 USD I think it was!

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has any idea wether it's the DOS vers with emulator or the crappy Windows port that was(and still is) riddled with bugs?

yay steam getting bigger and bigger !

Yeah, I'm only worried by the fact that many of the older games are quite bugfilled and don't seem to be getting support, an example is Jagged Alliance 2 Gold which suffers a handful of bugs on the Steam version, and has never been patched nor updated, and the Commandos pack where neither of the older commandos games have been fixed so they can run properly(not too fast) on modern systems..

I sorta wish Steam would have some form of Minimum Quality for products released via their system.. When they let publishers release games filled with bugs and not fixing them, yet still sell the games, that gives Steam a bad reputation amongst gamers, atleast that I have seen.

Sooner or later Valve is going to be bigger then some publishers if not bigger already. This means one thing. MORE VAVLE!

And, from what I've been told on JA2 forums, its incompatible with user made mods too!

Yup fully correct, even more fun, it has an unfixed memory leak bug that eventually chevs up all your RAM and freezes your comp.. Not fixed, lovely ain't it?

And after 8 years in circulation, they still haven't been able to fix the timed crash bug that happens every 30 minutes or so of playing :|

Bought it anyway, I had already bought Dreamfall 2 months ago and I wanted to play the one before it
