I'm buying a PSU and im looking for one about $100. These are the ones im looking into:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931
and
http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4026564
heres more info on the X-Connect,

Anyway I hear great things about Antec, but X-Connects cord system is kinda cool(Only using the cords you need). and The X-Connect is cheaper, and looks cool(even though I would never be able to see it..)

I should be ordering one in about 2 days depending on how fast my money transfers to a diffrent account.

Truepower II definetly.

I have the TrueBlue (original) and it's a good psu. Lowest my 12v rail ever slipps to is 11.84, and my 3.3v rail is rock solid.

Of course, this is all going by Everest reports :P

But i've heard allot of bad things about U Xconnects. Unsteady rails, low efficiency, those sorta things.

And if you're really too lazy to fold your cables (something you can't do with rounded wires. And I understand, cable folding is some tedious stuff :P) then buy an Antec Neopower. Those are some kickass psu's. Almost got one but it was out of my price range.

The X-Connects are good but if you are really going to stress your system then go with an Antec or another reliable brand.

I myself have an X-Connect (click signature) and I am having no problems with it. I would however suggest you go with the Antec just because its more reliable seeing as how the X-Connect's have a reputation of....going bad. And I have also noticed that the X-Connect runs quite hot.

I've heard this too. Some of the PSU's just can't take the 500w and shut out early. Early as in, before you reac 500w.

Glad to see you got lucky though!

To think, its been running for about 9 months now (bought it from a freind for cheap :D), and no troubles. Funny thing though, he wanted to sell it before somthing bad happened, so he bought an Enermax and after 2 days of having his Enermax, it blew on him. Oh the irony! But he got a replacement and all is fine now, so it was still a happy ending :P.
