Simply put, how much of a difference (if any) is the audio quality (NOT PERFORMANCE) between the four cards (XtremeMusic, Platinum, Elite Pro, Fatal1ty)?
The $399 Elite Pro has better DACs. (Digital to Analog Converter)
However, from what I've read, we are talking studio level quality here, and 99.9% of users don't really need that. The regular X-Fi sounds outstanding as it is.
