X1300 Pro vs X1600 Pro

I'm on a tight budget, so I just wanna know how well each can perform Source games. Thanks in advance.
 
i find it funny how the 7600gt and the 7800gt are above the 7800gtx and the 7600gt is like reallly close the fps of 7800gtx does that make sense at all with aa and af on???

It's because of the CPU limitations.

I was looking at an AGP x1600 Pro that had 512mb, so that's probably why.

But at the same time, does that extra really even help that much, or no?

512MB really only helps with highend cards and at high resolutions in certain games. 512mb vs 256mb doesn't make any difference with midrange and lower cards. They are not powerful enough to take advantage of it.
