X3: Terran Conflict Update 2.6

We'd like to let all X-Fans know that Update 2.6 is coming very soon. An important part of that Update is the introduction of STEAM achievements for X3: Terran Conflict.

Also we'd like to inform owners of the DVD version of X3: Terran Conflict that they will soon be able to register their existing key with STEAM to be able to download X3: Terran Conflict and start enjoying STEAM achievements once 2.6 is released.

I don't care for achievements, but being able to register my retail copy with Steam is a nice touch. Once again, the guys at Egosoft show they care.

Oh nice. I'll try it again if I can add it to Steam. I always wanted to love the game, but I gave up after 1.5 or so.

Ooo, I'll get this bad-boy on steam and maybe give it another chance. Should run better than it used to for me too!

I'll try give it more chance and try to learn more this time, shame its learning curve is so huge!

Is Terran Conflict a stand alone game or does it require vanilla X3? With Civ 5 coming and not having played Terran yet, I'm getting really close to pulling the trigger on a gaming rig. The X series is probably my favorite series of PC games that are still alive and kicking.

I had such a massive fleet and huge factory complex I worked so hard to achieve in X3, the thought of starting a new game makes me sad and excited at the same time.
