Thinking about reinstalling this game, but I was wondering if you guys could direct me to some recommended mods to make the game a bit more entertaining.

I recall that the last time I tried playing it, I soon got bored with shuttling wares between stations over and over and over and over and over...

Dunno about mods, but you can set it so the ships shuttle goods automatically (you'll need to purchase a few upgrades). Also, go fight pirates and steal their ships while your cargo ships are transferring goods.

Ah the memories. I tried to do the same as you. however when you get to the mod board there is so much there. Almost all of it you will need as I remember correctly all the custom mods and scripts add alot to the game.

Me, I would wait for the next game in the installment.

That's usually why I quit too. And it's hard to find/afford the right upgrades too such as the auto trading thingy. It's needs an interface like Eve Online to make it easier. Or if they just made Eve Offline I'd be happy.

Yeah. I played it when it came to Steam. Never got far. It's like... "Okay what do I do now?". If it had the rookie missions like EVE Online does (you go here, then here). It would be easier to learn.

I know very little about this game so I thought I'd google it. Dunno if this has been posted but I found it pretty funny.

Seriously tho they couldn't think of any other name for the bad guys? Or maybe they were just banking on no chick ever playing it.

"I'm surrounded by blown cock but strangely unsatisfied!" :D
hahaha

Well, what games could you folks reccomend that are in the same vein as Oblivion and X3, yet don't get 100% boring after a good few hours of gameplay?

I couldn't get past the first few hours of X3's gameplay . . . where I think it starts to get really interesting.
