X700 any good?

ims till wading my options for a upgrade. i was reading the specs on ati's main page. dosnt sound at all that bad. anybody own one, and can tell me how well they work?

I thought I heard that the X700 was very similar to the X600. Because of this ATI decided to stop producing the X600. If this is the case, than the X700 is a good enough GPU to enjoy new games, but you might just want to get the 9800XT (agp card) or wait for the price of the X800 to drop.

Search for some benchmarks on the X700 if you still want to get it. Don't listen to what ATI says. We all talk nice about our own crap right?

From what I've heard it seems to play the same role the 9600 played with the 9800, a cheaper card that sacrifices performance a bit but still runs pretty well. Granted, I haven't read much so you may want to do your own research on this.
