X800 Pro - Help

i get that shit on my gfx card sometimes, plus my fps goes down to 30fps (which kinda lags) with a damn x800 PRO!

my pc spec is in my signature..

btw aa/af is usually off / bilinear

AND VsYNC is always OFF

Its artifacts, have you oc'd the card, checked the stock cooling, checked the drives, updated the drivers have a big enough PSU?

my psu is big enough, and i have a thermaltake case with 7 silent fans, and no i never overclocked it

ive had this card for like 4months i cant return it, lost my receipt.. lol... jus wondering.. why is my fps affected? i dont exactly get the ultimate fps from my card... is 30fps (on high / no aa/af) a bad sign?

While your computer is on (don't you dare touch the inside of you computer while your computer is on - very bad things can happen), just visually see if you video card's fan is still working. It may have stopped which can be causing the problem.

Also, trying downloading and installing the latest catalyst drivers (4.12s are out). Also does this happen with other games?

okay fam works fine, and no i mostly play hl2/cs n it usually happens in there only, ill try in doom3 and other games later..

The performance hit though, I assume is a misconception of your usual performance.

Or if you have changed your in game video options, and you did not leave the game and come back in, the textures show purple. Happened to me plenty of times. Just make sure when you change the settings, restart the game, and everything will be fine.

yeah happens to me occasionally and i have basically the same set-up

but your FPS is weird though... i never go below 40 and thats on 1280x1024 Everything Maxed 4xAA and 8x AF... how did your comp do on the stress test?

around 80/90fps... but even when i do low settings i only see 10fps difference..

80/90 FPS damn... what settings do you run cuz i get like 71-74 on the stress test at 1280x1024 ultra high, 4x AA 8x AF (it will be better soon im upgrading to a Athlon 64 3500+ from an Athlon XP 3200+ )

Your cpu could be the problem. Maybe think about going to a AMD 64 +3200.

i get good connection 50ms average..

i only leave msn running in background..
and my cpu is amd athlon xp 2800+

What ATI driver version do you have? Is it the 4.11's and also do you use the .Net Control panel or the plain-jane version (recommended)?

I'd update your chipset/board drivers while your at it.
Nvidia.com for nForce2 boards and VIA.com for VIA chipsets.

i got 85.67fps in stress test
in settings:

high settings

thats good... i get 92 FPS on those setting... my 1280 FPS went from 72 to 77 so im happy bout that
