X800 pro

Hi, this is for all the people who have x800 pro's. I have an x800 pro amd run the game at 1024x768, 4Xaa, 16Xaf. I noticed that raising aa and af to the max only decrease my fps by afew fps. My fps will frequently drop to the 30-40 mark and this can really piss me off at times.

system:
-3.0ghz p4 processor
-Asus radeon x800 pro ( Im using the omega 4.10 beta drivers, they work best)
-p4s800D-E deluxe mobo
-380 watt psu
-1024mb ram

ps. I am considering buying a new mobo and an athlon 64+ 3500 processor. Tell me what you think about the matter.

Yeah, save your money ... and that X800 Pro of yours can be modded to an X800 XT .. which means you'll have all the 16 pipelines unlocked.

I'd say thats a good setup you have there no need to waste the money on 64 bit as of yet wait young Jedi Wait!!!

wait you said P4S800 ... ugh!! yuk!! thats an SIS chipset .. majoy memory bandwidth lag there .. (check it for yourself with SiSoft Sandra)

Get some decent intel chipset mobo .. i would go with Abit none of that gigabyte crap .. as to the ram make sure its branded (corsair,kingston,ocz maybe even Geil) and that you can get some decent latecy's ...
