lol well guys and girlz.. lol WASSUSP!? im thinking about getting a x800 for my comp. i have a nice rig, gig of ram, 80 gig sata hard-drive, intel 2.8ghz wit HT, and a p4c800 asus mother board. I only have a 300 watt powersupply... but im wondering if it is enough for the x800. i have a second hand 52x cd burner, and a tornado case fan for my present card. Will it suck to much power? does anybody have a 300 watt supply wit a x800? please let me know what u think...

thnxs again...

MIKE

whats your current vid card.

i doubt a 300watt is enough. its ok, PSU's are cheap enough, if you can afford a x800 you can get a $50 psu

It's always better to have enough power to cover whatever will be thrown at your computer.
But at the same time Looking at these power consumption numbers the X800 pro uses less than the 9800XT and about the same on load as the 9800pro.
I'd get a better PSU if you were thinking about the X800 XT though.

:dozey: Hmm, so let's see Antec 420 Watt PSU's go from like $80 bucks to $100. If you can choose from an x800 (Pro I am assuming) which is like 400 bucks and a powersupply that is about 80-100 bucks. I say you get one of them Antec's for about 420 Watts either save for an x800 or get something that's can be a placeholder with $300.

A 250w psu is more than enough for that card(belive me I have x800 xt pe and had 250w, np there), I've seen those that has X800 pro and only 200w and they're saying its fine for them. So 300w psu will definitly work on x800
