Hello,

I just want to ask if there is any big difference between the Radeon X800 XT PE regarding to the companys of it, like Sapphire and Connect3D. Thank you in advance.

Best Regards

Generaly theres a minor difference or none at all, say about 10-15 extra MHz on the RAM and GPU speed. However im uncertain about general product quality and there may be some versions you'd want to avoid I think Sapphire is a safe bet. :)

They all use reference designs from ATi so are all the same, only thing that differs is the bundle

Thank you for the link, ShadowBlade.

I compared it and noticed there is a little bit more GPU Clock Speed and GDDR3 memory acceleration on the Connect3D one. Is there any difference between this "Sixteen pixel pipelines" and "Sixteen 'Xtreme parallel pixel pipelines"?

Well, maybe I should tell you why I ask about the differences. I ordered the Sapphire one like six weeks ago and I still have to wait (here in Germany). So now I thought about cancel the order and buying a Connect3D one from ebay, where it is available.

Would you recommend me to buy the Connect3D one?

Thanks in advance.

Connect3D is very excellent chioce, but Sapphire is also on top.

Sapphire got 9.9 out of 10* recommendation
Connect3D got 9.8 out of 10* recommendation

they both are great but I would go with Sapphire.

Skunx you are comparing two different x800s...
You are comparing a sapphire x800 XT with a connect 3d XT PE
Both the sapphire and connect PEs are clocked the same.

which x800 xt pe would be agood buy..i am planning to get the one that ati makes not the HIS or powercolor. would that be any good

Oh, sorry, my fault. I didn't noticed that there are different versions.

Usually the difference is the heatsink and fan the companies decide to use. The only other thing the differ in is the bundle and warranty.

Okay, thanks for the informations. Now I'm just insecure about the PE or non-PE thing. Is a difference of 20 MHz (520 instead of 500) GPU Clock Speed big? Also what about 1120MHz and 1000MHz GDDR3 memory acceleration?

Thanks in advance.

never had a prob with connect3D. sapphire are also highly recommended. the core is barely noticable though. the card is too sickeningly and offensively fast that u wont notice the diff on present or upcoming games...for now.
