I want 2 buy a new PC with an ATI card but I know that the only games that I'll play gonna be HL2, CS:S and DOD:S so my question is do u think I need 2 buy a x800PRO or I'll be satisfied with a 9800XT?? cuz I really dont care about Doom3, FarCry etc... so what do u say?

Get a 9800 PRO (128 MB RAM with 256 Bit memory Bus). You should be able to get it around $225.

A low end ferrari or a fiat? hmmmm....

Nothings wrong with it - they just aren't worth the extra price.

A 9800 pro 128 is far better value for money - and performs just aswell as an XT (give or take a few fps)

//edit

I'd personally prefer the 6800 gt over the x800 pro ......... well worth checking out :)

Ok, but what about the R9800PRO 256MB?? whats wrong with them?? :P

hehe - nothing wrong with them either.

You'll notice even less improvement tho (we're literally talking no performance gain at all. You might see a few frames increase with future games ....... but that's sod all, and certainly not worth the extra cash. Putting the money saved towards other components will yield far better results ;))

A 9800 pro 256 is a waste of money. Check out some benchmarks yourself :)

10q very much!!! well if I'll get some cash I'll buy a x800PRo and everything will be perfect :)
