I'm getting a new Dell which comes with an x800SE. I know SE cards usually suck, but i'm upgrading from a Radeon 9500 so this'll still be a big jump. Does anyone know how good (or bad) and x800SE is, and is there any way i can soft-mod it to an x800 PRO?

The X800 SE probably competes with the 6800 pretty well.
Sometimes a lot faster than the 9800XT and other times with similar speed.

It has a 256Bit bus with DDR memory. I think it has 8 Pipelines. Should be pretty good anyway.

I think i know what your talking about, i ordered the same dell, but i ordered the X800XT not SE

You might be better off with XT, because having a 256mb card (X800SE is 128mb) helps ALOT

Well, besides that the clock speeds and pipelines really push the card.
