i just upgraded my 9800pro to a sapphire x800xl, it works great on all games like hl2, farcry, doom3 and the likes at top settings. but when i play bf2 i have to lower my settings even lower than i was running the 9800 on. what the hell is going on??? got latest drivers etc. anyone else get this problem?

ati well soon bring out a hotfix alot of Radeon cards are having problems with BF2 rite now

i just thought it was funny that a lesser card was performing better. hope this is fixed soon ati.

My 9600XT is running it great on medium/high settings... O_o

I have a 2.4Ghz 512mb ram, raden 9800 xt, and i have everthing on low or turned off to be able to ru smoothly. rez is 1024x768.

As they say on the box, Battlefield 2 plays best on NVidia :D.

That's what allows me to play on my unsupported FX 5200...

Summat's buggered up there, I've got a 2.6Ghz and 1GB RAM and a 9800 Pro 128MB and I can run at 1280x1024 at mostly high settings. A few things like texture and lighting are set to medium. Very smooth for the most part.

Yeah we will wait and see once ATi releases their drivers, we will see what plays best.

I still don't understand why people would get any type of X800 when you can get a 6600GT with better performance, and for $100 less..

(Of course this comment was extremely biased as I own a 6600GT)

Erm, uh, how'd that get in there?

So I just looked at the benchmarks and the Doom 3 test was the only one that the 6600 GT was even close in. That, my friends, is a "self own".

I'm cured of teh ingnorance!

LETS BUST OUT THE OPENGL BENCHMARKS, rotflmao, of course nvidia card is going to do better, EVERYONE AND THEIR GRANDMOTHER knows nvidia does better in openl.

Too bad your 6600GT does horrible in 3DMark.

Er...maybe you didn't read my whole post....

-edit- Just in case you didn't "get" my post, I was admitting that I was wrong..The "self own" I was referring to was myself.

2.8 ghz 1 gig ddr400, 9600XT...I think im using DNA drivers...I THINK...

Something is screwed on my PC then. I have 2.6 ghz, 768mb Ram and a 9600XT 256mb. I am using the Catalyst drivers, so maybe that makes a difference?
