im getting a X850 pro and im just wondering what your opinions are on it?
thanks

Not a bad card at all, should keep you pleased with games. Just don't expect max settings and AA + AF.

i usually play my games at 1024x768 anyway.......so i prolly will be able to play games at high setting with a little AA and AF
not too crazy about playing games with any higher res. its just enough for me

9800 pro.......
i got the X850 pro cus my 9800 pro was dying
and it was just time to upgrade

my other system specs are 2.8ghz Intel(Prescott:dozey: ) 1 gig of RAM, 80 gig HD

It will play stuff really well for ya. You can turn your settings up a notch from what you did on your 9800Pro and probably come out with better framerate. Just have to play with the settings and see where it stands for each game.

everyone's been saying it can play all the latest games on high(prolly on 1024x768)
but all i care about is that it can totally kickarse on CS:S and HL2

I went from a 9800 pro to a x800 pro and i can play all games maxxed eccept for the newer ones liek BF2 , FEAR, Ect.. And those darn BUGGY games are a pain in the butt too , its where you think the game should run flawless but doesnt cause they rushed it.

You have a nice card there it will more than double the framerates you have now i heard.

well guess what guys?
I am getting almost about the same FPS as i was with the 9800 pro.
Your all right........its a great card.
Its just that my CPU is limiting it uberly
(me thinks its time to build a new rig):|

What settings are you running it at. Because if you run it at 1024x768 with no extra detail settings on then the game could very well be CPU limiting. What game are you playing? Check some review charts and see how much a CPU upgrade would help.

And what setup are you running anyway?

i checked with my friend and it is being limited by the CPU.......i would upgrade..only problem is i have a Dell...
