I read a article in a recent Game Informer Mag. It stated that the same technology of the G5 is going to be used for xbox 2 correct me if I'm wrong but I remember a lot of people blasting it's technology. Now what?

I thought it was the PS3 getting multi-G5 type processors, and the Xenon was getting multiple custom 3.5ghz chips from IBM.

Come to think of it, don't IBM make the G5 CPUs?

Who cares anyway, early specs say there'll be 2 or 3 CPUs clocking at 3.5ghz - and for a console you know that's gonna be pure pwnzorage.

ATi are making the Xenon's graphics chip too, the technology it uses ain't even out on PCs yet - so it's safe to say that kicks some serious batty too.

/me can't wait.

actually, i thought the G5 hardware was superior to normal pcs right? Since no one buys macs anyway, it would seem to be a smart move to put their hardware into something that would actually get bought...like a console. looks like microsoft will again be outperforming the competition.

Cell is about as real as those "Toy Story-like" graphics Sony promised from the PS2.
