I fail to see how this is "big news" really... It is still speculation... Probably some of the best, but I wouldn't go around counting the eggs before they're in the basket if you catch my drift

It's not speculation, that's why it's big news.

The previous Controller prototypes have been confirmed, the Xbox2 name has been confirmed (Xbox360) and the shape and colour of the Xbox360 has been confirmed. I'd say that's big news, wouldn't you? I'm definately going to be watching MTV on Friday 13th anyway... Nobody knows what this thing looks like yet, or what kind of graphics it can put out.

AFAIK Xenon was the project name, not the product name... but I kinda liked the name too. I guess we'll all get used to Xbox360 and come to love it. Judging by the power of the thing, and the prettyness of the eyecandy, I know I definately will.

When contacted today, Microsoft simply said that it does not comment on rumours and speculation relating to next generation product.

Bottom of the article. Simply put, we may take this as fairly good chance of it being true, but we can't commit..... Microsoft hasn't said a thing.... Thus, it is rumors and speculation Remember when bf2.net CONFIRMED there was a BF2 leak, but yet nothing Unless you get word from an official source, don't take it as fact.

Microsoft don't officially confirm or deny anything, but there's press and people that have seen the thing first hand that are viable sources to confirm and deny things. Just because it's not from Microsofts official mouth doesn't mean it's speculation. So close to a public unveiling, this thing has already been shown to a lot of outsiders. I bet they've already filmed the unveiling show due to be shown on MTV (this is not a live event).

Sure, I DO believe all this stuff in here, in fact, I think it will be prety cool, especially the design and colors Definetely will make it seem somewhat more "next-gen" with it looking clean and white and all

This is still speculation. Until we hear it directly from someone from Microsoft, it cannot be marked in stone just yet

Theres a diffrence between console games and consoles.

The xbox does suck. It uses vastly outdated technology. Xbox Games do not all suck.

Xbox 360 has too many syllables. Anything more than 4 just doesn't seem to work. That's why "Nintendo 64" was shortened to N64.

Revolution (4 syllables)
Gamecube (2 syllables)
XBox (2 syllables)
Playstation 3 (4 syllables)

...but I digress.
