Not only can you play your PC games on Vista with the Xbox 360 controller. You can now navigate your PC using the Xbox 360 controller, if that keyboard and mouse thing was too complicated for you.
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Sunday, Justin Hutchinson of Microsoft ran through a live demo of Windows Live using an Xbox 360 controller. Hutchinson opened a three-dimensional map of Las Vegas, similar to the program Google Earth. From there, he navigated through the Vegas skyline and along the strip using the 360 controller, zipping along in the virtual environment with ease.
Hutchinson's presentation took place during Bill Gates' keynote address stressing increased connected experiences. Expect more connection between the 360 and PC soon with Windows Vista and the Xbox Live Anywhere service that will allow PC gamers and 360 gamers to play together online.
