Not only can you play your PC games on Vista with the Xbox 360 controller. You can now navigate your PC using the Xbox 360 controller, if that keyboard and mouse thing was too complicated for you.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Sunday, Justin Hutchinson of Microsoft ran through a live demo of Windows Live using an Xbox 360 controller. Hutchinson opened a three-dimensional map of Las Vegas, similar to the program Google Earth. From there, he navigated through the Vegas skyline and along the strip using the 360 controller, zipping along in the virtual environment with ease.

Hutchinson's presentation took place during Bill Gates' keynote address stressing increased connected experiences. Expect more connection between the 360 and PC soon with Windows Vista and the Xbox Live Anywhere service that will allow PC gamers and 360 gamers to play together online.

Because using a flimsy joystick to control a mouse pointer is easier than just using a mouse.

um, it's been PC compatible for.. forever ??

In other news, the Xbox 360 will have a camera add-on released ! :o

There are people that prefer using the controller, the very same people that think Halo 2 is the best game ever and throw up a "?" face when you mention any PC title

Yeah..... the 360 (wired) controller has been able to be used on the Pc automatically since the release.

OMG UBAH COOL!

Yea this is really old news... Sure it's the first time we've seen it interacting with Windows Live, but the wired Xbox360 controllers have always worked with Windows... The wireless dongle is coming out soon for $20 to make all of the wireless controllers work too.

Ha! I have a Logitech dualshock ripoff I got for $14.99 and its all the controller I need for MAME and other such things on the PC.

Haha, I've got a controller that has fans in it to cool your hands for when I play my emulators for hours on end.

**** yeah.
