I have an xbox 360 controller and a wired microphone. All I want to use is the microphone because I personally think the keyboard is a whole lot easier to use. I plug the controller into the usb slot but nothing happens. P2T doesnt work and nobody can hear me. What do I do?

U mean u want to use the 360 microphone on ur pc?

Dunno then... You could always buy a standard mic for your pc, they cost like ?1.30 in the UK

yeh but I have one. Ahh its whatever...

I did this just the other day, as you describe it, funnily enough. When you plug the headset into the (connected) controller, the PC should just recognise it as a USB headset, assuming you have the 360 pad drivers installed.

It should show up in your Control Panel sound options as 'headset', which you can then select as your audio input device. That should be all you need to do.
